Opening Procedure - Be, Have, and Do

Tape: 5401C11 "How to Know What PC is Doing"

I have observed that the processors are not using basic information with which we are dealing. It didn't occur to one processor. This processor was really doing a real sloppy job, because he was running subjective processing on somebody who was shifting. He was running into quite a bit of automaticity and it didn't occur to him that he'd better nail this automaticity by doing something else. Some Opening Procedure in some fashion or another, that'll work.

The processor started Opening Procedure and then he wasn't making too much advance with it, so we added in Opening Procedure - Be, Have, and Do. The simplest thing in the world: Be, Have, and Do.

Move out of that space. Now, throw yourself out of the space. Of course, that's doingness. You got position plus doingness.

Now, move over to that space and be a cow. That is position plus beingness. Now move over to that space and act like a cow. That would be position plus doingness.

Go over in the space and have it. Own it. That would be putting havingness in on top of that space.

It isn't as simple as you've been working it because you add to it Be, Have, and Do. You can run out any automatic machine that is keeping the person pinned in his body with Opening Procedure, just by adding Be, Have, and Do to it.

Be: Have the person move over to a space and be something (i.e., "Move over to that space and be a cow. Move over to that space and be a body.")

Do: Have the person move over to a space and act like something (i.e., "Move over to that space and act like a cow.") Doingness would also be having the person, for example, move over to a space and then throw himself out of the space or run out of the space.

Have: Have the person move over to a space and own it.

End Point

Run the process until a realization occurs, or an ability is regained.

These objective assist processes are excerpted and compiled from the works of L. Ron Hubbard as part of a study of the Briefing Course materials. They are made available here for the purpose of discussion on spirit-l. Spirit-l is a list intended for the discussion of the philosophical underpinnings of clearing philosophies and methods. Frequent topics include self-betterment processes that can be done alone or in a coprocessing setting. There are "fair use" considerations as the works these quotations are taken from are copyrighted. The actual owner of the copyrights seems to be in question, but it most certainly is not I. Therefore, these fair use excerpts are available for Spirit-l list subscribers to prepare for, and participate in, the on-line discussion. It is also for others who, although unable to participate in the discussion of Hubbard's work at this time (perhaps lacking email access or available time), would like to prepare for such discussion on the above thread topics in the future. Just as one can copy a chapter out of a book to teach a class, and even a whole book using a chapter for each class, separate supplementary manuals will facilitate the different on-line discussion topics.
