The Women's Community Building (WCB) is the focal point of the City Federation of Women's Organizations (CFWO). The WCB offers educational programs in downtown Ithaca, office space for not-for-profit organizations, and meeting space for a wide variety of community organizations.

The purpose of the WCB is to provide opportunities that enrich the lives of women of all ages and their families through its diverse services.

There is a kitchen at the WCB, designed as a certified commercial facility for caterers and small scale food processors, which will also support events that take place at the WCB.

The City Federation of Women's Organizations, which owns and operates the Women's Community Building (WCB), currently has openings on the following committees: programming, finance, and public relations. If you have expertise or interest in any of these areas and would like to help the CFWO fulfill its mission of serving the women and girls of our area, please contact the WCB office, 607.272.1247, or send e-mail to womens@lightlink.com.

Beginning January 3, 2011, the WCB business office will be open from noon until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

 

The WCB Library closed December 10, 2010. Books borrowed from the Durland Alternatives Library can no longer be returned to the WCB.
