WHO-IS DATABASE

 In order to register your domain name, it must not already
be taken.  

     There are now many REGISTRARS, for example Network Solutions (The
Internic), Register.com etc.  You first need to check the GLOBAL
database of all Registrars to see if your domain is taken.  If it
responds that it is not taken, then you can have it.  If it responds
that it is taken by Network Solutions, then enter it again in the
second area to find out the owner.  There are no specific databases
for other registrars yet.
 
     For example, to check for the Art Matrix domain, type in

     artmatrix.com

     Do NOT add in the www or anything else before the name.
