Tuesday, February 26, 11:30 AM in Ho Science Building 101 at Colgate University.  "Einstein and Quantum Nonlocality: A Doorway to Emptiness and Compassion."  A talk from my new book.


Saturday, March 1, 5:00 PM at Wisdom's GoldenrodProgram begins with meditation, then food, then a short set of readings and discussion of Tibetan Buddhism and Modern Physics: Toward a Union of Love and Knowledge.  This is not a formal program, but a celebration of community and an opportunity to affirm our friendship.


Thursday, March 6, lunch meeting of the Heretics Club at Colgate University from 12:00PM-1:15PM in the Garden Level, Chapel.  Details yet to be finalized.

Wednesday, April 2, 5:00 PM, at Loyal College in Baltimore. Lecture/discussion, "Einstein and Quantum Nonlocality: a Doorway to Buddhist Emptiness and Compassion."  Followed the next day by an informal discussion with people who have already read Tibetan Buddhism and Modern Physics. Friday through Sunday, April 11-13, 2008 at Naropa University, a lecture Friday night "Einstein and Quantum Nonlocality: a Doorway to Buddhist Emptiness and Compassion" and lecture/workshop on Saturday all day with a few more hours on Sunday, "Acausality in Quantum Mechanics: A Challenge to Buddhism" and "Exploring Acausality in Synchronicity and Individuation."  The program Saturday and Sunday will have exercises to explore the acausality in synchronicity and individuation.  For details contact Angie Waszkiewicz.


Wednesday, April 23, Colgate University. A brief presentation to His Holiness the Dalai Lama entitled "Causality in Tibetan Buddhism and Quantum Mechanics" will be my contribution to a panel on Science and Religion.  This is an invitational only event and not open to the public.  It is part of the Dalai Lama's visit to Colgate University.


Tuesday, April 29, Center for Religions and the Professions at the University of Missouri.  Two lectures: "Synchronicity and Spirituality" on Tuesday at 7:00 PM and for the Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds on Wednesday April 30th at 4PM, "Causality and Randomness: Buddhism, Quantum Mechanics, and Medical Implications." Friday, May 16, at Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, NY, the North American Seat of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.  From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, a free lecture: "Einstein and Quantum Nonlocality: A Doorway to Emptiness and Compassion."  Then the following day on Saturday, May 17, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, "The Many Faces of Causality." This workshop explores causality in Middle Way Buddhism, contrast it with causality in quantum mechanics, and then develops the idea in the context of synchronicity.   There will be short meditations throughout the day.  Follow the link for the workshop for more details.
