Creek Exploration A free event for youth

Discover the wonder and strangeness of young dragonflies, mayflies, stoneflies, and more. Learn how the presence or absence of these macro invertebrates indicates how clean or polluted a stream is. Begin your journey as a citizen scientist and help monitor the water quality of Fall Creek!

Eligibility: School aged youth from Dryden, students in the Varna After School Program. Parents/guardians welcome. Limit of 8 families.

COVID19 information: All participants must wear masks. On arrival, participants will be asked health screening questions to check for recent symptoms, contact with COVID19 positive individuals, contact with people from states on New York's travel advisory list.

REGISTER

Once you register, we'll provide information on where to meet, what to bring, what materials & refreshments will be provided, and an 'assumption of risk and waiver of liability' form that will need a parent/guardian signature.

We anticipate there will be many people interested in this program. If we have already reached the 8 family limit, we'll let you know and notify you that you have been placed on a wait list.
