This case reinforces my belief that management even in high technology
companies are afraid of the very technology thats puts food on their tables.
It appears that this fear of what the DO NOT UNDERSTAND is directed at those
who do (the admins) and that it elicits a knee jerk reaction. I fortunately
did not get the same reaction at my place of employment when I exploited our
network, and we were able to plugs holes, even though what I did was of my
own volition and the areas checked were not in my administrative domain. I will
be much less likely to help like this in the future in light of this case.
