Well, thanks for bringing it back up.  (half smiley, half groan)

The *only* public statement that my legal team (yes, a team, sigh)
said that I can make about my case is available by sending @FUND on a
line by itself in the body of a message to merlyn@ora.com.

In other words:

	echo @FUND | mail merlyn@ora.com

for details.

Personally, I am often painfully depressed about the possible downside
outcome of a September criminal trial (loss of career, jail time or
extensive probation, $61000 in *retribution* on top of any other
fines).  However, my team is doing *fine* work in getting everything
together to demostrate my position of innocence.  I just wish I had
Intel's power with the local constables and their nearly unlimited
resources to throw at this fight to make it fair.

In the meanwhile, I'm still gainfully employed (hacking code and
teaching Perl classes, and thinking about my third book), so life
continues.  It's kinda weird knowing that $40000 of this year's income
will end up in the hands of my legal team, however.  Not a pleasant
prospect -- that's more money than I've ever netted in a year.

(Actually, my legal team will probably be upset that I've said this.
So what.  They work for me.  And y'all asked. :-)
