14th December 2006: The RexxLA Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Howard Fosdick as the RexxLA Editor.
This appointment will be effective immediately until elections at the Annual General Meeting at the 2007 Rexx Symposium.
RICE
The RICE (RexxLA Internet Collaboration Effort) has begun. This is a project to bring all of the RexxLA Internet resources together into an environment under which
we, RexxLA, have more control, and to be able to provide more services to our members.
A
project plan (PDF) outlines the activities and progress of this effort. Comments via the members mailing list are welcome.
Annual Rexx Symposium
Each year RexxLA organizes the Symposium to provide a focal point for information about the Rexx family of languages and a venue for networking and collaboration among members of the Rexx community.

The 2007 International Rexx Symposium will be held at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk in Tampa, Florida, USA from April 30th to May 3rd.

The contents of Mike Cowlishaw's original web site is now available from RexxLA.
Open Object Rexx is now available!
Open Object Rexx has been released and is publically available. See the Downloads page at Sourceforge for source and binary releases.

- Haluk Polat has published another book in Turkish: XEDIT Yazimlayicisi. This book covers XEDIT, THE and KEDIT.
- The first Turkish book on Rexx: REXX Programlama Dili written by Haluk Polat is now available.
