Who lit a fire under these guys? I've seen this band in several personnel configurations over the past several years, but the current line up is dynamite, much better than any version I've seen. I hope they keep it, and keep up their energy. If you want a rockin', good-time, danceable, bar band, check this band out the next time they're in your neighborhood. They often change roles to take advantage of the depth of musicianship of all the players. Let's see... the five players are: keyboard, drums/vocals, bass/guitar/vocals, saxophone/guitar/vocals, and guitar/vocals/bass. Their instrument changes are quick, and their choices of material, tempo, and variation excellent. Well, perhaps they could pick up the tempo a wee bit more on a couple of the rockers.

On Saturday, some of the songs they played songs were made popular by the Stones, Delbert McClinton, the Beatles (rock'n roll), Dire Straits (very impressive), Clapton, and a couple of slower country numbers just to keep everyone's belt buckles polished.

The dance floor was well utilized from the time I got there (about 10:00) until I left (after midnight). I only have one complaint, and it's not with the band. When the music's right I like to dance, and if the dance floor's crowded, I keep to my own little square. Last night the jitter-buggers were out in force, and, unfortunately, some don't know how to dance in public. I hate having hot, sweaty bodies crashing into me when I've been politely minding my own business, consistently within the same, small area. Last night I danced to only one song, partly due to the number of times I was bashed by psycho-jitterbuggers. Please, people, keep it under control on the dance floor.
