League Rules:
-Pick a precon starter deck (either buy one or build one out of spare cards). Any starter deck from any set is acceptible. During a given season, the top three scoring starter decks from the previous 2 seasons are not legal for play (i.e., if in a given season, the top three decks are the Ventrue, Baali, and Nosferatu starters, they are out of play for the next two seasons).
-Your "card universe" initially consists of the contents of the starter deck, plus 2 vampires you add, plus 10 cards you add at the start of the league season (see below). Keep track of your "card universe" with an index card you carry around in your deck box.
-The 10 cards you add at the start of the league can be any 10 cards from your collection, but each of the 10 must be different (i.e. you can only add 1 of any given card). They can, however, be duplicates of cards in your starter. Write these down on your index card when you build your deck.
-Your crypt consists of the12 in the starter, plus 2 you can add from your collection. You can add any two different vampires regardless of clan, although you must follow grouping rules. You can add vampires to your card universe by swapping in 3 cards you have won through the "ante" rules (simply cross the three cards off your list and add a new vampire to your list).
-Build your deck. You deck must be between 40-90 cards, using only cards from your "card universe". Your crypt must consist of at least 8 vampires (i.e. minimum of 8, not 12) from your "card universe". You may freely change your deck between games or play sessions, as long as you only use cards from your card universe.
-At the start of each game, each player "antes" the top card of their deck. This card is removed from the game (for that game). When you oust a player, you may add a copy of their ante card to your card universe (i.e. you write it down on your index card). Note that you specifically do not win a copy of the card you anted if you are the last man standing. The player gets that card back at the end of the game (i.e. no one loses cards, people just gain the ability to add cards). If you win a card in ante but don't have a copy to add to your deck, you may use a proxy card (i.e. if you win a Direct Intervention in "ante", but don't own a Direct Intervention, you may add a DI proxy to your deck). These are the only proxy cards allowed.
-On your index card, keep track of game wins and VPs gained. At the end of the season, the player with the best record wins the league. The winner will get something (prize bought by player donation? A beer? A kick in the teeth? Undying fame?)
-The league season is 3 months long.
