I finally decided to get around to building a Giovanni deck, spurred on mostly by the very cool Nagaraja, who fit right in. By combining the Giovanni and the Nagaraja, you have access to a really good spread of vampires who have both DOM and NEC and are reasonably priced. By combining DOM and NEC, you can build a fairly effective tool-boxy light stealth and bleed deck with good combat defense, and the versatility that comes from Spectral Divination (stealth or intercept from a single card, which is huge). By combining Bonding, Spectral, and Call, you can get up to effectively +3 stealth, and often just the unblockability provided by Call is all you need.
A great deal of flexibility is built into this sort of deck, as you have reliable light intercept *and* bleed bounce, Strike: Combat Ends combat defense (not real good against, say, a dedicated IG Rush deck, but good against most other combat), a bit of combat offense from the Hordes (which also double as a wall to get in the way of stealthless Rush attacks), and the ever popular "dial-a-deck" ability that the Necromancy gives you with Summon Soul and Whispers of the Dead--discard stuff you don't need, recycle stuff you do need, and if you need something you discarded earlier, you can always get it back anyway.
