The True North Revolution Digital Compass/Clinometer! Shown here in an Armor 3600 water proof case, deep box option.  The scale on the paper is every inch, 25mm, 0-9". You just need to point at 7 points to calibrate the compass.  This set-up read within 1 degree of the Brunton in the photo. The other photo is my Disto after a swim & mud from surveying upstream in Middle Earth. Fortunately I wrapped the Disto in Ziploc(r) bag before the trip!
Aquapac has waterproof cases/bags for electronics and documents.
