Concept to completion

Ever have a great idea? Did you take that idea and turn it into a finished product, seeing it through from concept to completion?

The graphic above represents something I enjoy, taking a good idea and turning it into a finished product. The use of placemats as advertising and entertainment for restaurant patrons is a familiar concept. The novelty of the idea for this placemat was the use of color cartoon caricatures (as you may have seen in promotional posters distributed by community C of C and other organizations), and the program was sold as a promotion for the restaurant and advertising opportunity for local businesses. I chose the venues, sold the business owners on the concept, sold the ads for all the participating businesses, contributed ad designs to the artist, arranged for production and delivery of the finished product. I managed the process from prospecting to selling to production to distribution, and sold this program to several restaurants.

Another example of concept to finished product featured here is Laser On. Produced as a promotion for a fund raising event of a non-profit foundation this radio campaign attracted visitors from a regional audience that would not have been aware otherwise. I wrote and narrated the :30 radio spot, negotiated and purchased airtime, arranged on air promotions and ticket giveaways with several regional stations. If you'd like, you can listen to the ad.
