Area Code Search - North America
This page allows you to search a database of Area Codes for the North
American telephone system. The database was obtained from
ftp.lcs.mit.edu.
I have not confirmed it for accuracy, but it seems to know all the
"new" area codes.

You can search in the following ways:
- BY STATE
Spell out the name of the state, for example: new york
You may use either uppercase or lowercase.
- BY CITY
Spell out the name of the city, for example: New York
You may use either uppercase or lowercase. Only major cities are
listed.
- BY AREA CODE
Type in the area code you wish to seach for, for example:
607
Try out "hot" area codes (like 213) which are in transition.
To do the search: click on the search box above, then enter your
search keyword, then press ENTER. You need not enter the full name of
the state or city , for example "miss" will match both Mississippi and
Missouri.
