 Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State, in Ithaca, The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County is committed to developing and supporting the active involvement of ordinary people (including providers, family members and recipients of mental health services) in all aspects of mental health. These include the definition of needs, the promotion of community, and the provision of services. We also support the human and civil rights of people who use mental health services, and will educate the community on all perspectives concerning mental health and mental health disabilities.


Our services are available to those who live or work in Tompkins County. We have limited services available in Seneca, Schuyler and Yates Counties in Central New York. We are always happy to respond to email inquiries in English, regardless of place of origin, if we can be of service.


A United Way agency, The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County is a chapter of the Mental Health Association in New York State (MHANYS). MHANYS is an affiliate of Mental Health America (MHA), formerly the National Mental Health Association (NMHA).
