"BOOKS FOR BABIES" PROJECT

"Books for Babies" is a literacy program that acquaints parents of newborns with the important role they play in the development of their children.

By verbalizing and beginning to read to them in infancy, and by becoming regular library users, parents jump-start children's learning process and ability to read and to learn. Books provide the key to education.

The Rotary Club of Groton is proud to be a part of this project.  If you are aware of a newborn in the Village and/or Town of Groton please provide contact information to the

Karen Zirbel, Chairperson
115 Williams Street
Groton, NY  13073
or call (607) 898-5050

A member of the Rotary Club will provide the newborn with a free book.

The Rotary Club also accepts new books for this program.  If you would like to contribute books or help financially please contact Karen Zirbel or the Club President.  Thank you.
