Recent "Kids Flying at East Hill!"

Day Care Kids

We have had several visits from local parents and children in the last week. It is wonderfully motivating to see the excitement of these children when they get to try our aircraft. Many adults who accompany the kids are also interested and excited!

Please get involved in our Young Eagle Rally coming up on May 10th and join the fun! We need people teaching and flying. Aviation education in the community is part of our mission and these are our future pilots!

Presidential Trip to Ohio: Mission Accomplished!

20 March 2008

Flight Aware Log

Winter flying is challenging, especially when you attempt a family trip. Kudos to Amelia for orchestrating a safe Mooney trip to Ohio despite challenging wind and snow. Daughter Katie is pictured here with her bunny and Peter on the right. Husband Oliver is also a club member and pilot but not current. (He was, in fact, the last winner of the spot landing contest on the old grass 1-19 runway!)

Congrats: Frank Adelstein earns Commercial, Multi-IR....Dave MacLean earns Private at Last!

Lou and Frank

Frank proved he was the master of the Dutchess, despite Lou Nalbone pulling engines continually, visual and IR. Lou said great things about his abilities. A commercial multi-engine with instrument privileges is pretty impressive! David MacLean earned his private after 10 years of working toward this goal. Due to medical problems and life's curve balls this was a dream delayed. Thanks to CFI Rick Prado.

Cirrus SR-22 Visit and Wonderful Holiday Party

8 December 2007

Cirrus at East Hill

A very busy day for activities at East Hill! We had 28 members come to see the Cirrus SR-22, munching bagels and savoring hot coffee at the club (thanks to Craig and Michelle Brooks for that fine custom "East Hill" blend). Mike Thompson was the lucky Cirrus flier this time.  Saturday evening, a fun and festive gathering of 45 members celebrated the season and our bond in aviation at the Cayuga Nature Center. Live seasonal music was a huge treat! (more pictures)
