We read a lot. Really a lot. Doug wrote this nifty book database thingy for me, and I've decided to slowly catalog all of our books. Maybe. Some of them, anyway. We'll see how it goes with getting them entered.

Whenever I visit someone's house for the first time, I'm drawn to their bookshelves. You can learn a lot about someone by seeing what books they have. So here is your doorway into my world, into my thoughts, my interests.

The Wyatt Family Nifty Neato Cool Book Database

A few months ago I read "The Bone Collector" by Jeffrey Deaver. I also went to see the movie. I liked the book better- not a surprise. What did surprise me is some of the choices the screenwriter made in adapting the book to film. Not the same choices I would have made, I think.

Other books I'm currently reading, or recently finished:

The kids are really into the Redwall books, written by Brian Jacques
Simon has just started getting into the Dragonlance series of books.

I read The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho, and was amazed. His website is interesting, too, with some new stuff there recently. I'm also reading one of his books in Spanish, just to see if I can. I can. Slowly.
