Okay, so this isn't a very imaginative way to do this. I'm lazy. I just want to get them up here, and then I'll figure out if I want to move them around.
This was taken last summer, when we all went for a walk up to Ithaca Falls. The kids were playing on all this driftwood, and I thought it looked cool, so I took some pictures.
Same hike. Sarah by herself.
This was taken at Treman State Park, better know around here by the name of Lower Enfield. For some reason, the area that is usually covered in water was not, and was a huge mound of rocks that we walked around on. Oh- this is my friend Lisa. She doesn't like having her picture taken, but I like this picture of her, I think it really shows her personality.
Sarah was waiting for us to get finished walking around on the rocks. I think that what she is sitting on leads down into the swimming area in the summer. We'll have to go back and see.
My favorite photographic subject again! Rocks. This time, they're at Treman park, and I think I shouldn't have been able to see them, they should have been underwater. I'm kind of glad they weren't, though.
These rocks are in the water.
I had a roll of film sitting around that was never developed because I had forgotten to change the film speed when I loaded the camera, and was afraid nothing would turn out. I finally had it developed today. This is Sarah, from mid-May 1994. Three years ago! (5 years ago, now!)
This was taken in my Dad's pond, when we were all catching tadpoles. I couldn't keep Timmy out of the water, even for a minute!
Sarah liked playing with the net, I'm not sure what she caught.
I think this picture is sad. It's taken from a parking area made so that people could stop and see the Lake, and take pictures. Notice those trailers and all that dug up ground? That's because they are building a Nursing Home here. Soon, this view of Cayuga Lake will be inaccessible forever. I don't think it's fair.
This is Sarah, the day before her fourth birthday, in her carseat for the last time. We took this picture as part of a ceremony saying goodbye to the carseat, and recognizing that Sarah is growing up fast!
This was taken last summer, Timmy doing what Timmy does best.
Of course Simon didn't want to be outdone!
Here they are, all together, happy as can be.
And Sarah, my gypsy girl.
We went to Watkins Glen State Park, it was my first time there. The waterfall there is the strangest I've ever seen, winding down a steep gorge, through narrow crevices, turning and twisting its way down. It's not possible to take a photo of the entire falls, but I took some from a few different places.
I love the way the light shines down through the mist from the water. This scan gives you the basic idea of what it looks like, but the real photo is much better, stunning, even.
