Learning and fun are the same thing around here. Here are some places we like to hang out, play games and think about stuff. I've rearranged in here, since there are enough links so that some categories have suggested themselves.

 | Something new: A game invented by a friend of ours. Check out the website for Chebache. It's a strategy board game, sort of a cross between backgammon and checkers and more. The box says ten years and older, but Sarah loves it. She's 6 1/2. |

- Thinking Fountain A to Z Alphabetical list of words, with links to pages about them, including
references. Fun, interesting, not very in-depth.
- The Idea Box has stuff to print out and use.
- The Enchanted Mind is a collection of creative puzzles.
- The Grey Labyrinth is more puzzles.
Maps and other geography pages
- Atlapedia has information about every country in the world. There is a lot of information, but none of it is in depth.
- Area Accurate Map: The Peters Projection World Map. Has ordering info, and lots of comparisons to the Mercator projection (the one we're most familiar with)
- Shaded Relief Maps Very nicely organized page, with information about what these maps are, and links to lots of them.
- The US Geological Survey homepage. Links to ordering information, or a list of commercial vendors.
- USGS: What Do Maps Show is a site written for kids to learn how to use different types of maps.
- Kids Web - Geography A list of links to some cool map pages. Including: Interactive map of the world, topographic maps, World Flags, and a Mars Atlas. Lots more.
- Geo Net geography game.
