SUBJECT: DONATIONS
The
Board recognizes that various individuals or organizations may wish to make
donations to the
The Board will accept gifts under the following circumstances:
a) The District, students, and staff are to be safeguarded from commercial exploitations, from special interest groups, and the like.
b) Gifts that would place an encumbrance on the current or future boards will not be accepted.
c) The Board will not consider the acceptance of a gift until and unless it receives the offer in writing:
1. The dated Donation Form must be submitted to the appropriate administrator and must contain the name of the donor, the amount or value of the donation, a description of the donation (if other than cash or a check), and the use that the donor requests that the District make of the donation.

3. Cash donations must be deposited within three (3) business days upon receipt by the District Treasurer, who will issue a receipt to the donor.
4. All property donated will be reported to the Business Manager for recording into inventory.
All donations received by the District will be reported to the Board at its next regular meeting. No donation becomes the property of the District until the Board approves its receipt.
Trust fund donations are summarized and reported to the Board on an annual basis.
