Purpose:

The official start to a day of racing includes a tech inspection of the race car. Smalley's Garage was the site for Tech Inspection from the very first race in 1948. Therefore, the way to start the day at the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen is to visit Smalley's Garage to observe the Tech Inspection reenactment for SVRA cars. For a quick overview, here is a small pictorial sample of previous year's Tech Inspection Reenactments.

On Franklin Street, between 11th & 12th street, Watkins Glen.

Time: 9:30am

Cost: Free to the public.
