General Exercise Information: Aerobics, Stretching, and Balance

Appraising Your Health Risk: Ideally, everyone should have a physical before beginning an exercise program.  This article discusses risk factors that make it is absolutely necessary to get your doctor's approval and/or have a stress test.  The recommendations are based on suggestions from the American College of Sports Medicine.

Three Types of Exercise For Life-Long Health & Vitality: This article outlines the health and psychological benefits of cardiovascular training, strength training, and stretching.  We need to include all three in our exercise program to have a healthy body.

Aerobic Guidelines: I prepared this for a class of women over 40.  It covers aerobic training for beginners and intermediates and assumes you'll be including strength training in your weekly routine.

Stretches for Home or Work:  These were written for a group of women who spent most of their workday at a computer.  They needed stretches they could do at work.
