Alan's Lego® Train Collection

This page contains a few pictures of trains from the Lego collections of my brother Steve and myself. The only pics I have up right now are of Steve's 7740 and 7815 along with my 7819. The 7740 came out in 1980. It was in the first wave of sets in the gray-era 12V line. In my opinion it's one of the best sets Lego has ever made. It includes two unique parts (gray 2x2 classic windows--OK, maybe they're only arguably unique to the set!) and 3x3 yellow low slope corners, along with lots of train windows and doors. The engine is designed after a German high-speed train and is a real beauty. The 7815 and 7819 are the sleeper and mail cars, respectively, from 1983 which match the 7740's color scheme. When taken together, they make a quite substantial train with an engine and 4 passenger cars, each 28 studs long. OK, enough talking--here are the pics!
