Races are scheduled on a weather-permitting basis. Rain of sufficient amount to flood the track or cause it to become muddy enough to be unsafe is reason to cancel an event. In case of bad weather the track owner in conjunction with the track steward will make the decision to run or cancel at least two hours before race time on race day. The intent of this policy is to run as many of the scheduled events as possible but save racers and spectators a wasted trip whenever possible.

Non-Members are Invited to Race

Non-members are invited to race with us as long as their mowers comply with our rules. Of course visitors will be encouraged to join our club, the membership fee is $25 per year.

Rules Overview

Our machines are lawnmowers with the cutting decks removed. Rear bumper and two wheel brakes are required, front bumper is optional. Only lawnmower parts may be used in the construction of a racer although frame and running gear can be reinforced. Motor must be from a lawnmower and rated 18 HP or less. Modifications are permitted so long as the motor appears to be stock. Only pump gasoline is allowed. Obtain an official rule book from any officer or at a race for full details.
