Steven Stull Biography for Cayuga
Chamber Orchestra May 2012
Steven Stull appeared earlier this season in the Cayuga Chamber
Orchestra's winter pops gala: Romance
the World Away. He has also appeared with music director
Lanfranco Marcelletti, former music director Kimbo Ishii-Eto, guest
conductors Grant Cooper, Thomas Sokol and Carl St. Clair in works by
Mahler, Copland, Handel, and Mozart. Steven can be heard as the Wolf on
the CCO's recording of Cooper's Boyz
in the Wood. His other recordings include: West Virginia
Symphony Orchestra's Home for the
Holidays and their newly released Tales from the West Virginia Hills;
The Pulse of an Irishman; and Opera Cowpokes. His video
production Opera Cowpokes Alive!
was seen on public television. His latest CD, Christmas from the Heart of New York
features favorite Christmas carols with jazz pianist John White and
bassist Peter Chwazik.
As a soloist, he has been heard with orchestras in Buffalo, Rochester,
Anchorage, Jacksonville, Norwalk and has over forty performances each
with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and the West Virginia Symphony
Orchestra. In December 2011, he toured New York with Symphony Syracuse.
Recently seen as FDR in the new opera Eleanor
Roosevelt with the Society for New Music, he has appeared with
Glimmerglass Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Syracuse Opera, Artpark, Brooklyn
Academy of Music, Kyrgyz State Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, and
Oswego Opera.
In 1990 Steven co-founded the CRS Barn Studio with choreographer Jeanne
Goddard. Together they present an eclectic series of music and dance
performances on the CRS Growers organic vegetable farm overlooking
Cayuga Lake. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Oberlin
College Conservatory, Steven is also a narrator, producer, director,
composer, painter and photographer.

Biography
for Symphony Syracuse Holiday Concerts November and December 2011
Steven Stull - baritone
Steven Stull sings a wide range of repertory including opera, operetta,
musical theatre, oratorio, chamber music, and song. He was heard in
over forty performances with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, including
eight productions with the Syracuse Opera. Steven's recordings include:
West Virginia Symphony Orchestra's "Home for the Holidays" and their
newly released "Tales from the West Virginia Hills", "The Pulse of an
Irishman" (Irish and Scottish Songs arranged by Beethoven), "Opera
Cowpokes" (opera stars perform classic western and country western
songs), and Grant Cooper's "Boyz in the Wood" with the Cayuga Chamber
Orchestra. His video production "Opera Cowpokes Alive!" was seen on
public television.
Steven has appeared with Glimmerglass Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Syracuse
Opera, Artpark, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Kyrgyz State Opera, Opera
Theatre of Pittsburgh, Oswego Opera, Anchorage Festival of Music,
Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Erie
Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony, and Norwalk Symphony Orchestra.
Upcoming appearances include his fortieth performance with the West
Virginia Symphony Orchestra, FDR in the new opera "Eleanor Roosevelt"
with the Society for New Music, and "Songs of Love" with the Cayuga
Chamber Orchestra. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and
Oberlin College Conservatory, he is an active recitalist and
collaborator in modern dance performances. In 1990 Steven co-founded
