- This Spanish-English, English-Spanish dictionary is a quick, handy guide to common words in both languages--- the words most useful both for school and for everyday conversation. It includes over 4000 entries, evenly divided between Spanish and English. Unlike most dictionaries, this guide gives an example sentence for each meaning of a word, so that both an English-speaker learning Spanish and a Spanish-speaker learning English can get a clear sense of the word, as well as additional practice with the language. When there are two examples of one meaning, they are separated by two slashes - "//".
- Parts of speech are clearly labeled. If a word is commonly used as more than one part of speech, we include each part as a separate entry. Genders of Spanish nouns are indicated, as are irregular verbs in Spanish.
