Armor after the Effigy of the Earl of Warwick

Mid-15th century.
Hardened spring steel; built 1998

The Earl's effigial armor is slimmer and trimmer than this one, because the Earl was a thinner man than the owner of this work. This harness proves you don't have to be thin to look great in armor - it is extremely handsome and businesslike, and a real pleasure to look at from all sides.

To the jousting visor.
