I did not base this on a particular harness, but designed it to capture the
flavor of a good High Gothic armor. I was, therefore, able to take my favorite
features (and my client's favorites) from a variety of Gothic amors, and combine
them in one harness. The extra-long cuisses, working on internal leathers and
sliding rivets, do away with the necessity for tassets and contribute to a
tall, leggy silhouette. It is typical that the helmet and greaves are plain and
unfluted - the gauntlets provide the real showpiece with many flutes and decorative filework.
