The Online Ithaca Classified only supports live posting from people we can determine are local. The reason for this is that other such systems get bogged down by postings from out of the area usually for irrelevant commercial products or pyramid type schemes. In order to provide the best quality information to the Ithaca public at no cost, we need to filter out "spam" without having to pay staff to do it.
At this point you have two options if you live in the Ithaca area and would like to post a classified ad:
1. Switch to a local service provider. Local ISP's support their local economy, and develop worthwhile content such as the Online Ithaca Classifieds to serve the community. They also tend to have fewer busy signals and higher speed access than national providers. Some options are:

2.Apply for a password. We can authenticate local users via a password feature, which will allow you to either post a classified after you have entered your username and password.
There is an administrative fee associated with password access. $20 will grant you full posting access for six months, use this if you plan to post regularly. A one time pass can also be purchased for $5, this will allow one ad to be posted with up to a 3 month term.
