QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

      Hubbard said that incidents form chains based upon content,
specifically earlier similar AESP's, attitudes, emotions, sensations,
and pains.

      After a while Hubbard said that the important thing to find in the
incident is the postulate.

      Postulates also form chains.

      But he never pointed out that after the postulate comes the
question.  He never asked us to find the QUESTIONS in the incident, yet
it is the questions in the incident that pre postulate the postulates,
and thus cause the postulates to remain in force.

    Engram: beaten up by bully
    Postulate: I will never be able to survive alone
    Question:  How then do I find allies?

    That get's him into 'looking for', you see?

      Postulates only remain in force if they are committed to by effort,
in the service of answering the question.

     Postulate:    I am poor
     Question:     How do I get money?
     Committed to: Let's rob a bank.

      Until he robs the bank, he hasn't committed any space or time to
the postulate, so the postulate can as-is easily.  Once he robs the
bank, he has dumped space and time and mass and energy on the
postulate, and it becomes encrusted in timestone.

      In this case its a withholdy kind of solution to needing money, so
that makes the solidity a lot worse as he can't talk about it to anyone
he respects.

      He will find reasons to not respect his old friends who would not 
approve of him robbing a bank, and pretty soon the only friends he 
"respects" are other bank robbers.

      ASKING A QUESTION BORN OF A POSTULATE OF LIMITATION COMMITS
ENOUGH MEST TO THE POSTULATE TO MAKE IT STICK.

      Postulate: I am not sufficient to my own survival.
      Question:  How then am I to survive?

      You see, wondering, wondering, wondering...

      It is the *EFFORT* TO ASK THE QUESTION THAT KEEPS THE INCIDENT IN
RESTIMULATION AND THE POSTULATE IN FORCE AND BURIED IN MASS.

      Without the question asking, nothing would stir it up enough to
affect anyone.

      A lock is something which gets the person to ask the question
again, whether he knows it or not.

      ALL persisting restimulation is question asking of the questions in
the incident, whether the guy knows he is doing it or not.  It is the
EFFORTS that count.

      He may be eating a cookie, but if the efforts he is using
to eat that cookie are really efforts to ask a question in a long
gone incident, well then the long gone incident is now.

      So running QUESTIONS and the efforts to answer them and the
failures to answer them and the import on them, runs the entire
postulate chain that are prepostulated by the questions, and the entire
bank where in the postulates were formed in the first place.

      Without question asking, there can be no chronic restimulation.

      Chronic restimulation of AESP's and postulates, is caused directly
and only by chronic question asking.

      Postulates will not blow until the questions and answers that were
then used to commit to them are run out, including all effort, emotion,
and MEST that was used to solve or answer them.

      Don't get this wrong, the existence of an answer is not necessary
to this, the efforts to formulate and ask the question, even if it is
never answered, is enough to keep the postulate in restimulation as long
as the question asking continues.

      Robbing the bank is the MEST solution at the end of the chain that
begins with the effort to answer "How then am I to survive?"

      It is question asking that keeps the pre postulates going, and then 
the efforts committed to various answers to that question, particularly 
unethical answers.

      Find and run them, and everything else falls apart.

      Becoming is a question in time seeking or chasing, an answer.

      Run out the question and the chasing ceases.

      Becoming is then replaced by being, on that subject.

      *THIS IS A NEW THOUGHT*.
