Orientation Points References Tape 5407C15 "SOP 8D: Orientation Points" Description A person expects to be located not only by his environment, but by his memory. Now that is a very curious state of affairs. All this stems out of the fact that he is owned, he doesn't own anything. Because that is the one thing that an orientation point does. It owns a symbol. Symbols are those items that are run by orientation points. He is being run and it would be the orientation point that told him where he was. He would be dependent, utterly dependent, upon this orientation point to continue him in a located situation. Supposing this orientation point has been blown up or destroyed and the people in it are all dead, or something like that. Your individual would look awful lost. Anybody who consistently and continually evaluates for the person all the time, like his mother, would become an awfully set orientation point. Therefore, this would be the universe in which the person was lost. This is the universe to which the person is a symbol. The person just isn't in somebody else's universe occupying its orientation point. He is a symbol in that universe. It isn't he who tells him where to go. He is told where to go by the orientation point. He is told where he is by the orientation point. This is just to give you an idea of what this person is facing, so as to point out some of these things with processes. If he is this confused, it is because some other determinism has continuously given him the location where he is. We want him to get into some kind of a state of mind whereby he can locate himself and say, "I am here, and I am here because I say I am here, and that is the only reason why I am here." When he can recognize this with great certainty, you will know it, because he will have certainty, faith, belief, security, force, and self-confidence. These things lie in the security of knowing that "here is here because I say it is here, and that is why it is here." In such a wise, we can process a person. We can just have him elect locations. We could have him walk around and out loud inform the walls where they were, as a very crude process, but an extremely workable process. Commands Have the person walk around the room and inform the walls where they are. In other words, the person says to the wall, "You are at 42nd and Broadway." This is also run on other objects in the room and environment. Tables, chairs, trees, etc. End Point Run the process until a realization occurs, or an ability is regained. Cautions None
